⚖️
Maverick vs Newport / Park Avenue — which combo is right? All three are 7-ft pool + table tennis tables. The Newport and Park Avenue include matching storage benches, a reversible dining top, and a higher price tag — they're the choice if you want the table to serve as seating and dining furniture too. The Maverick is for buyers who want a 7-ft pool table with table tennis included and nothing else — simpler, more focused, and priced accordingly. Same 7-ft playfield. Same K-66 cushion spec. Fewer extras.
💡 A standalone 7-ft pool table and a separate table tennis setup purchased independently would cost more and take up more floor space. The Maverick puts both in one footprint at a competitive price — with all accessories for both games included. You're not paying for benches or a dining top you don't need.
🎱

Pool Table Mode

Full 7-ft playfield with K-66 gum rubber cushions, poly-sealed red felt, silver top rail with inlaid sights, and chrome corner caps. Standard 57-inch cues — adult-length, adult gameplay.

  • K-66 gum rubber cushions
  • Poly-sealed red felt surface
  • Silver rail with ½" inlaid sights
  • 2 × 57" cues (standard adult length)
🏓

Ping Pong Mode

Push the two blue melamine top pieces together over the table, attach the net — done. 2-step conversion with no tools required. The black-edged top is durable, fast, and stores easily when not in use.

  • 2-step conversion, no tools
  • Full 84"×46" playing surface
  • Durable melamine top
  • Net, posts, paddles, balls included
🏓 About the table tennis top: The Maverick's TT top is a blue melamine-coated surface with black edge trim — a proper bounce-back surface, not a cheap plastic sheet. The two-piece design makes storage simple. Push the pieces together side-by-side, clip the net, and you're playing within 60 seconds.

Why the Maverick

7-ft Quality. 2-in-1 Versatility. Streamlined.

  • 📐

Full 7-ft playfield — proper geometry, proper game

At 74.75" × 36.75", the Maverick's playing surface matches a standard 7-ft pool table exactly. Shot angles, bank geometry, and cue ball position play all translate directly to any pool hall or game room you'll ever play in. The step up from the 6-ft Spartan is meaningful — you get 10+ more inches of playing length, wider pocket angles, and a closer-to-regulation experience that makes the game feel more authentic.

  • K-66 gum rubber cushions — the professional standard at this price

K-66 is the cushion profile used on professional and competition-grade pool tables. Banks come off the rail accurately and consistently. The Maverick uses reinforced K-66 cushions — the same spec found on Hathaway's dedicated single-use tables. This is the feature that separates a table where the game works from one where you're constantly compensating for dead or unpredictable rails.

  • Silver melamine top rail with chrome caps — polished details at a competitive price

The Maverick's silver laminate top rail with ½-inch white inlaid sights is a distinctive design touch that makes the table look more expensive than its price suggests. The chrome corner caps and matte black side panels create a clean black-and-silver aesthetic that pairs naturally with the red felt. This is a table that looks intentional — not a basic game room pickup.

  • 🔄

2-step table tennis conversion — fastest switch in the lineup

The Maverick's TT top is two pieces that simply push together and rest on the table frame. No clips, no hinges, no complicated alignment. Push them together, attach the net, start playing. The entire conversion from pool to ping pong takes under 60 seconds. To go back to pool, lift the two panels off and lean them against a wall. It's the simplest conversion mechanism of any table in this category.

  • 🏗️

L-shaped pedestal legs with cross brace and built-in levelers — solid and stable

The Maverick uses full end panels with a cross brace for structural rigidity — a more substantial base than simple post legs. Built-in leg levelers keep the table perfectly flat on any floor surface. The result is a table that doesn't flex, rock, or drift during aggressive play. At ~250 lbs, it has enough mass to stay planted under normal game room use without shimming or adjusting.

  • 🎁

Full accessory kit for both games — nothing to add

Two 57-inch pool cues, a full set of 2.25-inch billiard balls, chalk, triangle rack, table brush, table tennis top, net and posts, two paddles, and two table tennis balls. Everything for both games is in the box. Unbox, assemble, and you're playing the same day. No supplemental accessory purchases required.

Is This Right for You?

This Table Is Built For

The Maverick occupies a specific spot — the buyer who wants a 7-ft pool table with table tennis, without the bench-and-dining overhead of the combo sets. Here's who it's the right call for:

🎯

Pool-first buyers who also want TT

Pool is the primary game. Ping pong is a bonus. You don't need benches or dining functionality — just both games in one footprint.

📏

Rooms that fit 7-ft but not an 8-ft

Your space is at least 11'×15' — enough for a 7-ft table with cue clearance. You want the full 7-ft playing surface, not the compromise of 6-ft.

👨‍👩‍👧

Families with kids who want both games

Pool for the adults, ping pong for the kids — and vice versa. The 2-step conversion makes it easy for anyone to switch modes without help.

💰

Value-conscious buyers upgrading from 6-ft

You've outgrown or want more than a 6-ft table, but you don't want to pay for benches and a dining top you'll never use.

Not the right fit if: You want the table to double as a dining table or you need storage benches — the Newport and Park Avenue are built for that. Or if you need a ball return system — the Hustler 7-ft includes that. The Maverick is purpose-built for two games in one footprint, cleanly and at a fair price.

Delivery

How Your Table Gets to You

At ~250 lbs, the Maverick ships via LTL freight on a pallet — not UPS or FedEx. Here's exactly what to expect:

1

Order placed → ships within 5–10 business days

Orders are processed promptly. You'll receive tracking and carrier details as soon as the table ships from the warehouse.

2

Freight carrier schedules your delivery appointment

The carrier calls the phone number on your order to set a delivery window — typically 4 hours. Make sure your contact number is correct at checkout.

3

Curbside delivery — pallet placed at your curb

The driver unloads at your driveway or curb. Standard delivery doesn't include carrying it inside. Have a helper available — the table is heavy and requires two people to move indoors.

4

Inspect everything before signing the receipt

Note any damage — including to packaging — on the receipt before signing. This protects your freight claim rights. Contact us immediately with photos if anything looks wrong.

5

Assembly — typically 1–1.5 hours with a helper

All hardware and instructions are included. The L-shaped leg design assembles efficiently. Most customers are playing within 90 minutes of opening the box.

Transit time: Most deliveries arrive within 7–14 business days after shipment. We'll share an estimated window once your order ships.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

All three are 7-ft pool tables with a table tennis top included. The Newport (rustic driftwood finish, blue felt) and Park Avenue (matte black, red felt) add two storage benches with hydraulic lifters and a reversible 2-piece dining top — making them a furniture piece that serves as seating and a dining surface as well. The Maverick skips the benches and dining top entirely: just the pool table and the table tennis conversion top. If you need seating and dining functionality, go Newport or Park Avenue. If you want two games without the extra overhead in price and footprint, the Maverick is the cleaner choice.
The Maverick includes a two-piece blue melamine table tennis top. To switch from pool to ping pong, place the two panels side by side on top of the pool table frame and push them together, then clip the net and posts onto the edge. That's it — two steps, no tools, under 60 seconds. The melamine surface provides a consistent bounce-back and is more durable than plastic alternatives. To go back to pool, lift both panels off and store them (leaning against a wall works well). Note that unlike the Newport and Park Avenue, the Maverick's TT top is not reversible — it's a dedicated table tennis surface rather than a pool-cover dining top.
The Maverick's overall footprint is 84" L × 46" W. For comfortable play using the included 57-inch cues (5 feet of clearance per end and side), plan for a room of at least 11' × 15', ideally 12' × 16'. For table tennis play, end clearance is more important than side clearance — players need room behind the short ends to move freely. A 12' × 16' room handles both games comfortably. If your room is under 11' × 15', the 6-ft Spartan would fit better.
No — the Maverick uses ABS drop pockets, which is the traditional pool table configuration. Each pocket holds pocketed balls that you collect manually between racks. This is the standard setup on professional and commercial tables. If a built-in automatic ball return system is a priority, the Hustler 7-ft is the table to look at — it includes that feature. The drop pocket design is maintenance-free, never jams, and is the preferred setup for most recreational players.
Yes — the 7-ft size is ideal for kids age 10 and up, and even younger children can enjoy both games with supervision. Unlike the 6-ft Spartan which ships with 48-inch cues, the Maverick ships with standard 57-inch cues designed for adult play. These work well for teenagers and tall kids. Younger children (under 10) who are still developing reach may find 48-inch cues more comfortable — those are available separately and widely sold. For dedicated family use with younger kids as the primary players, the 6-ft Spartan with 48-inch cues may be a better starting point.
Every shipment is fully insured. Inspect all components before signing the delivery receipt. Note any damage — even to packaging — on the receipt before signing, then contact us immediately with photos. Do not refuse the delivery unless the table is completely destroyed; partial damage is almost always resolved with replacement parts rather than a full return. We handle the claim process with you and will make it right within the 180-day warranty window.
